Also! I actually read manga today. It's about a T-rex who's a detective, trying to solve the death of a superhero. There's also one of those "looks twelve but is mentally hella old" lolis who's always wearing revealing clothes, but who cares when there's an ANTHROPOMORPHIC T-REX FIGHTING A CYBORG WITH A TABLE
He is a character only seen in Street Fighter 4, because everyone hated him so much that Capcom refuses to put him in Street Fighter x Tekken.
He's basically a luchador who is also a terrible cook, and he talks like Speedy Gonzales. His character's annoying and bland, and I wouldn't be surprised if Mexicans found him offensive. I mean, he's not as bad as Balrog, but he's pretty annoying. He also eschews the usual combo-style fighting in favor of being really fast, really jumpy and generally attacking from unexpected directions.
He's my second best character, behind M. Bison, and I recently realized that I'm in the top 160 El Fuerte players (which, let's be honest, isn't the biggest category), so I'm trying to see if I can get up to, like, 150 or something.

I have three mains in SSF4: M. Bison, El Fuerte, Dudley (majestic), in order of skill. I usually start out with Fuerte, switching to Bison if I'm going against a much tougher opponent or switching to Dudley if going against someone I know is weaker (because steamrolling someone repeatedly is both horribly cruel and horribly boring). If I'm doing particularly well, I might bring out E. Honda.
I've talked previously about how Batman and the Joker are isolated, but I think a stick-out to me was how, in this film, both the Batman and the Joker are responsible for their isolation. Batman was responsible for Joker's disfigurement, but Joker was responsible for killing Batman's parents and forcing him into the unhealthy coping mechanisms we see him taking in the film. I think there's a poignancy in the one scene when Vicki Vale talks to how Batman's facade as Bruce Wayne doesn't seem very "him" and he looks down for a bit, because we know that once upon a time, he was Bruce Wayne.

Oh yeah, Keyman. Between being sketched out by the fanservicey shots of the aforementioned 12 year old looking character and some of the stuff that happens later, I ended up dropping Keyman, but Inspector Alex is pretty great.

He is, isn't he? I didn't know that I wanted a hard-boiled detective who's also a funny animal, but it's all I ever wanted.
Which other stuff that happens later? There's a lot of sketchy stuff that happens later.
Man is a most complex simple creature: see what he weaves, and how base his reasons for doing so.
I desperately, earnestly wish that we could all just be excellent to each other. That we could help correct each others' behavior just by asking nicely. That we could all just be people.

Then I tallied them up to figure out some quick stats.
19 series clearly feature a female main character, while 8 series feature a mix of the two genders, and 3 feature a clear male lead.
I wonder what this distribution is like for anime as a whole. I also wonder how this distribution has changed over time.
