bloody hell, why do they keep picking a story that relies so heavily on its medium as a series of books?
I'd imagine they can do some unique things with the medium of Netflix, as far as I know this has been cooking for a while and a lot of good stuff has come of the medium
The only books (aside from things like House of Leaves) I can think of that I'd say very nearly can't be translated to television are Discworld, and there have been some noble efforts to that end.
Yeah, they do, but to my knowledge it's roughly on par with something like Monkey Island, which is great, but Discworld did some really really fascinating stuff that'd be difficult to do (without significant changes to presentation) in a medium other than books
Which makes me want to see a truly great adaptation so, so much more. Because Discworld deserves it.

I think the idea behind his character is that he is supposed to be a parody of douchey internet reviewer types that are very loudly opinionated (see: someone like Totalbiscuit).
The impression from his outfit I get is more "wannabe 90s cyberpunk nerd" but I see how you can get "fascist" out of that too. Either one works with his shtick i suppose.

Sometimes I feel energetic. Feeling energetic means wanting to be violence.
