    In terms of public perception Denver is definitely a b-tier city which is weird because it seems like a nice place.

    But look at it this way, you could live in Seattle.

    Seattle constantly rains.

    Denver is in Colorado, one of my favorite states.  There is a lot to love about Colorado, which is why the marijuana thing hurts me so much.

    Never be ashamed of Denver.  Never be ashamed of Colorado.

    Denver has one of the best rodeos and cow shows in the world.  The kind that the old man, Mister Stocking, used to save up to go to with his friends.

    It was special and significant to him.

    Be glad the media ignores you.  Be glad you have no Fortune 500 corporations headed in your place.

    Both of those things allow your city to have its own personality.

    I mean, look what happened to New York.

    Times Square was bought by Disney and looks like a theme park now, instead of a place to get murdered and mugged for free.

    The more the media and corporations know of your town, the more they care about it, the less voice the actual people of the town are able to have.

    I'm ragging on old-timey, pre-workers-rights, pre-turn-of-the-centuy New York, specifically the worst parts.

    The kind that inspired labor unions and OSHA laws, and many of the things we should be grateful for.

    People cared a whole awful lot, and wanted it better, and better it got.

    I am sorry that it came out the way it did. I should have specified a time period.
