For whatever reason, another one of the alterations I'd made was that Paramount Communications continued to exist as an independent entity instead of becoming part of Viacom
However, this does not make much sense, as Viacom's purchase of Paramount was part of an overall trend towards media consolidation at the time (brought on by a combination of the existence of the Fox network and the formation of Time Warner, I believe, even though Time Warner came into being partially because Time Inc. feared being bought out by some non-American rich people).
Anyway, I'm wondering what would have become of Paramount's handful of Fox affiliates (WTXF/Philadelphia, WKBD/Detroit, WLFL/Raleigh, and KRRT/San Antonio). WTXF and WLFL wound up being sold off to Fox and Sinclair respectively (WTXF's sale was part of a complicated series of events in Philadelphia), while WKBD and KRRT joined UPN (WKBD lost its Fox affiliation to the then-CBS affiliate WJBK, and KRRT probably voluntarily dropped Fox).

The sounds that horses make are very expressive; especially when communicating panic, fear, shock, or mom-where-are-you. Also, the sounds they make just after eating are surprisingly joyful; as are other happy sounds that I won't describe because accentuate the negative; and also, they're hard to express in words.
Considering how emotive the sounds that horses make can be; MLPFIM really should use more sound clips of horses; especially scared/startled/frightened/panic/shocked/mom-where-are-you ponies. Much more visceral than a human-sounding scream; it's almost like, say, Fluttershy got so startled her animal instinct took over for a moment.
