This reminds me that I should watch Evangelion, if only for the giant exploding space monsters and everyone going crazy or being crazy. And End of Evangelion and the reboot, which sound hella wacky.
Actually, I have a lot of valid reasons to watch it even if I end up disliking it.
Probably because they can get cheap "fresh scent" mix in 55-gallon barrels from a vendor instead of having to pay a perfumer to design a custom scent...
The religious/Freudian symbolism thing is definitely overwrought, although I think that a lot of it is there because it's either fun or supposed to feed into the whole maturity/choice theme.
But yes, the monsters are really cool. Most of the visual elements are.
Also, if I remember correctly a lot of the symbolism is there less because "oooh symbolism" and more because Hideaki Anno was like "Christian symbols are cool, let's through in cross explosions"
Actually, what I personally find the best about NGE is the relationship Anno has with his fans, it's quite excellent

What does that say about me
Is that bad?
nor the several conspiracies tripping over each other part
the navel gazing and character development part is more interesting though
but still not as interesting as the angels
say, 15 angels by the same name, with abilities reminiscent of their evangelion counterparts

do you mean the adam sandler movie
don't make fun of him
you could have it appear as various geometric shapes that are typically used as dice
and it rolls itself to determine its choice of attack
(NOT its attack power; that would be lame)
i thought he was funny in hotel transylvania
