The way I see it, every United States presidential election since a long time ago has been really close.
The candidate of the republican party has about a 50% chance of winning, as does the candidate of the democratic party. It doesn't matter who these people are, or what they have done.

I think you hit the nail on the head.
Besides, sometimes I like seeing people looking shiny and plastic. It's appealing in that "nobody's actually like this but wouldn't it be cool if we were" sorta way.
The candidate of a major party is not supposed to receive less than 40% of the votes. That hasn't happened in a long time.
So, basically, it's an automatic 40% of the vote for each party. Given how important (1) the way the vote is counted (2) and the way the lines are drawn are in determining that last twenty percent, I think that the actual people who are the candidates is not all that important to the election.
So, no matter what Bush had done, once he was the candidate, he had about one chance in two of winning the election.

I would approve of the idea of a loopy stream in general, if not necessarily the Happy Tree Friends part.
In some games, I can't go evil. Planescape Torment, or Fallout, or any role playing game where you can see the consequences of your actions.
But, in games where going evil is effectively an outfit change and a different faction to do fetch quests for and buy stuff from? I'll try it on a second playthrough.

Can someone who knows computery stuff explain to me why transferring files between and Android device and a Windows computer through USB is so irritating and unreliable?
I don't understand why it has to show up as an "MTP device" or whatever instead of just a regular disk drive...
