OK so did anyone else forget that we somehow have just a shitton of money?
we stock up on Hyper Potions and Toho Orbs, as well as a couple Revives.
alright, so here we are back at the Dojo. We will not be defeated again.
LET'S GO KICK SOME ASS.
YEAUH. LET'S DO THIS
FUCK YOU SOOOOOOON
WE HAVE ATTITUDE
WE DON'T NEED NONE OF YOUR BOULDER-SMASHING
hahahaha shit we're still horribly underleveled
well fuck it we're here now. We send out Cheech (Lvl. 30) first, which uh
doesn't go so well. Bruce goes out next and actually manages to take down the Momiji (the blackbelt's sole Touhou) without taking any damage. Leading to one of the weirder defeat lines in the series
I don't think your fingers really have anything to do with it but ok buddy whatever you say.
Our next opponent is very big on etiquette
I am reminded of my uncle Scott.
His first Touhou is a Meiling, and the first in our lineup is unfortunately Derpy. However, we manage to trip our foe up, as his first move is to use Block, and Derpy knows Encore. Rendering the enemy Meiling locked in a loop of using an essentially useless move.
Unfortunately the encore loop doesn't last very long and Derpy is taken out with a Vital Throw.
So we send out Rei, who takes the Meiling out with a combination of contact-induced poisoning and Morning Sun.
His next Touhou is of course another Meiling (variation? What's that?) which Rei takes out without taking any further damage whatsoever, due to this guys' Meilings' preoccupation with using Block.
His third Touhou is another fucking Meiling (third time's the charm?). This one actually tries to use Counter, but misses, so we take it out again without taking any damage.
After a brief trip to the Tohomon Center, we'll be taking on the dojo head (I think those are called Daimyos? Can I get a confirm/correction on this?), but that'll be in the next update which will come shortly.
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
The dojo head is just a Black Belt like everybody else. Disappointment.
making things worse is that Cheech is our first Touhou out. And I happened to forget that Yuugi is also ground-type, making our attempted first attack (Shockwave) completely ineffective and she takes us out with Submission
whelp
let's try that again.
Rei has more luck, with her grass attacks (Morning Sun especially) being super effective, but Yuugi's Submission attack is pretty damaging even with its "not very effective" status. We do manage to take her out, but she packs a punch.
this actually goes really well. Since every attack she throws at us misses, somehow.
at least he admits it.
So here's where I end the set, which Touhou are we gonna take?
I believe these are the twin moon princesses, otherwise known as the moonbitches.
I don't know which one's the Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan equivalent, so I'm guessing this is gonna go solely off of appearance.

But Toyohime apparently "can manipulate the boundaries between the Earth and Moon, and between the scientific and fantastic versions of the Moon" which sounds more interesting, so voting for her.

He's waiting for a third vote for Yorihime (or as the case may be, Toyohime).
Which unfortunately might not happen unless we recruit people from elsewhere.
Also for some reason I got a bunch of elf names as suggestions (none of you picked "Jack"? I am disappoint), and since Legolas was the only one that got more than one vote, we're gonna go with that.
with some creative spelling that I hope no one will mind.
Now we're going to quickly skip off to the Day-care to drop off Ju, as per Yarrun's advice.
and now I'm going to stop because I have no idea what to do! I had actually planned to make a longer update but I forgot that I don't know where to go from here. So advice is going to be necessary.
Before I do, here is Legolass' stats and whatnot.
and her 'dex entry
and here's her mov....
oh.
Well that's interesting. Any suggestions on a good first attack, Heap?
I should note that despite my quite genuine dislike of almost all Lunarians in Touhou as characters, I think Yorihime will make a solid mon if we give her a good moveset.
I'm off to grind Derpy until I hear back from y'all.
We still haven't gotten around to fighting Erika. What with all the grinding we're doing, she should be pretty easy.
And it looks like physical moves are better for our moon elf person. Can we get any good Fighting moves at this point in the game? Like Sky Uppercut or one of the Jump Kicks?
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
It permanently replaces itself with whichever move the opponent used last. If she's like Smeargle, though, she can learn it multiple times.
Save her until later. Sketch can be used to copy extremely powerful moves like Earthquake or Thunderbolt, even Spore or some other Touhou's signature moves.
If you are lucky you can find Sky Uppercut which gains a bonus to damage since the Lunarian is also a FIGHT type
Unless there is a Move Relearner on your version, then you can use Heart Scales(?) to have her re-learn Sketch and forget an obsolete move.
Yorihime and Toyohime are two Watatsuki princesses from the moon. They're from the supplementary manga known as Silent Sinner in Blue. As they are Lunarians, they are extremely elitist, holding great disdain for anyone from the 'impure' Earth. The elder princess, Yorihime, can summon gods to assist her (Reimu can also do this, but she lacks the training to do it effectively), and her skills with the blade are unparalleled. The younger owns a fan that can destroy atoms. Due to their ridiculously high power levels and their victories against fan favorites, they're almost universally disliked by the Touhou fandom. Seriously, screw these guys.
About 90% of the Touhous are villains at some point in their lives, so I'm not sure what you're trying to ask about there. They are the antagonists of SSiB, if that's what you're asking.
As for how they won against fan-favorites, well, that's just how the story was written.
Alright. Anyone who tuned into the livestream knows we outfitted Legolass with a decent moveset (Vital Throw, LUNATIC [Hyper Beam with different art], Rolling Kick, and Poison Claw) and got all our Touhoes up to around level 30-ish.
My understanding is that the trainers in Erika's gym have a level range of about 22-27. So this should be a fairly simple task, and I'm hoping that pans out.
How do you find this, random pervert?
I couldn't agree more.
Alright let's rock.
Our trip in the gym immediately takes a turn for the strange as we cannot help but notice something is missing.
Motivational Guy isn't here!
surely this is an....ILL OMEN
anyway, let's kick ass. Also cut down trees, because trees.
also apparently we are not quite welcome here
well TOO BAD
LET'S KICK AAAAAAAAAAASS
this "lady"'s first Touhoe is a Chibi Yuuka. I don't recall if we've run into those before.
They are cute and wear pajamas.
pictured: pajamas
we dispatch both her and this girl's next Touhou (a Chibi Medicine) with relative ease.
Next we come across someone who is lazy as fuck
a shame on you.
A true shame. On you, your entire family, and your cow.
She has a pair of Chibi Yuuka, who we dispatch via Zestpoole's new Ice Ball move (think Rollout, but Ice-flavored).
The rest is more of the same. This is sort of a rinse-and-repeat style area. There's not too many curveballs here.
There is this unexpected detour from Cooltrainer Mary
but, the Touhou in question is underleveled enough that we can still take it out in a single hit.
The two trainers flanking the pass to the gym leader use the standard (non-Chibi, non-EX) versions of two of the three Aki sisters, and then also Medicine Melancholy again, which is just strange.
So, next update we'll be tackling the gym leader. After that, we'll have to figure out what to do next.
i get so angry sometimes i just punch plankton --Klinotaxis
So have you powered leveled enough that this Gym is easy, or is it that these Touhous are simply under-leveled compared to other gyms you've already visited?
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
We powerleveled in order to challenge the Fighting Dojo from earlier, which normally would have to be done after we beat Erika.

That's one vote for Yori.
First to three wins.
Also we'll need a nickname.
But Toyohime apparently "can manipulate the boundaries between the Earth and Moon, and between the scientific and fantastic versions of the Moon" which sounds more interesting, so voting for her.
Also her sprite looks more fun, somehow.
that's one for one.
also we need names here.

Toyohime's fan can annihilate things at the atomic level, but she's also considered to be slightly more racist.
Yorihime for the win.

Or Thranduil.
Something distinctly Tolkien!Elvish
bleh, moonbitches.
To be honest we probably won't be using either of these regardless since our roster is full, but still.

that might be true.
We actually have two lowest Touhou due to the uneven grinding I've been doing. Those being Derpy and Ju.
For Yorihime, what about Anduril?

Jump Kick might be doable if we can find a Meiling to fight.
Anyone remember how Sketch works exactly? Because I don't.
I thought it was last used, yea ok.
