I still find this person kind of baffling, though. Like, the combination of social justice rhetoric and far-right dog-whistling is really confusing. That, and the whole weird interpretation of Undertale he puts forward has a huge flaw in that half of his complaints can be immediately upended with "...and how is this a bad thing?"

Like, so much of tumblr seems to be dedicated to talking about the latter. That's not a bad thing, mind you, but I have no idea where he's getting this.
is it just me, or does tumblr (yes i know, talking about the site like it's one person, whatever) seem to actively trashtalk celebrities they personally don't find attractive more than more conventionally attractive celebrities who have done way worse things
like, john green and macklemore are both mostly harmless but i still see shit about them and jokes about their appearance (not from people i follow for the most part, but around.) benedict cumberbatch is actually kind of an asshole but i still see posts saying he looks like an alien (i guess this is continued backlash from back when everyone worshiped the ground he walked on.) i also saw people getting mad a while back because people were saying not to make fun of adam driver's appearance and they were like "he doesn't need your defending, he's on the cover of gq!!!" adam driver hasn't done...anything bad, as far as i'm aware, besides maybe having obnoxious fans?
