Been watching Futurama lately, i.e. one of the few adult cartoons that didn't go on forever and head south.
I remember when Adult Swim replaced Toonami, and I, who was fond of staying up late to watch whatever anime came on, stayed up for the first week to see if this new replacement had anything good in it. Futurama's the show I remember the most. I had assumed that everything I had seen was Season 1 stuff, but now I'm realizing that some of it was as late as Season 3

<CentralAve> I feel uncreative
<CentralAve> Because I'm spending time looking at Ohio towns on Google Maps and thinking "ooh, I could have towns like these in Centralia"
<CentralAve> Like, shouldn't I at least be looking somewhere less familiar to me for inspiration?
For my "YA Dystopian(ish) Future" novel, I'm looking around Sheffield for inspiration for the towns and cities in the island that my story takes place on.
"My Little Corner of the World" makes me want to check out Yo La Tengo. I don't like the singing, but it works well enough with what they're going for to me that it doesn't bother me, and even if not the first sort of thing I'd go for I rather like the song.
I think I prefer Anita Bryant's version, though. This will require some thought.
They could make the most wonderful music ever, but there is still nothing douchier than a group of white people from Hoboken naming their band after a random Spanish phrase,

July 31st: Cave Story (7:25-8:35 AM), Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels and SMB3 (4:15-6:30 PM), maybe Pokemon Blue.
August 1st: Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (2:50-7:05 AM), Portal (10:40-12), TASBot plays Mega Man and Sonic Advance and Ikaruga (12:45-1:45), Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past (1:45-3:45 PM).
I'm definitely not going to be waking all of those as they happen (looking at you HM2), so this is just for my future convenience with the VODs.
of all the things nu atheists do, being completely incapable of realizing that the common english word "belief" is usable outside of religious contexts is the weirdest.
This president’s foreign policy is the most feckless in American history. It is so naive that he would trust the Iranians. By doing so, he will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven

Fun parts of GMing: Tuning an encounter so it won't kill the players, but will give them a shock to the system. Because, let's be honest here: Killing players is a piece of cake. Scaring them is a lot harder.
