i feel like this art would work well with horror, and i don't mean that pejoratively
Well, his first series Me and the Devil Blues was a horror manga about Robert Johnson, which as pretty good as I remember.

At least it'll probably be better than that show about the boys being thrown in a dungeon attached to an all girls' school?
The funny thing about that anime is that the creator originally did a well-regarded, well-researched manga that was about a heavily fictionalized version of the life of Robert Johnson, a famed Blues player who was said to have sold his soul to the devil at a crossroads in return for musical talent. Then that got cancelled because it didn't sell well enough.

So he did a basically porn manga about terrible people letting themselves be treated like garbage in order to see tits, and then he did that for a few years straight, before it was announced, simultaneously, that his old series was coming back and Prison School was getting an anime.

He sold his soul to the devil for his art, guys.

I asked you about this in another topic, but I'm not sure if you saw, but where was it announced Me and The Devil Blues was coming back? I couldn't find any news articles saying it was coming back.

I've been there since early April and this is the first time I've missed a day but I still feel kinda bad. :\
  • Don't feel bad CentralAve
  • You feel for calling off? I used to feel the worst for calling out, then the companies I worked for demonstrated time and time again the sickness inflicting us that is inherent in capitalism.

The one thing I'd carp about is reboots and remakes....it's not so much that they do them at all as that so many are either done badly or just don't catch on. Look at how much trouble DC has had with Superman...

    >Let's go back to Ninja Turtles. If you were a fan of the '80s cartoon as a kid, let me ask you: Have you seen it lately? It hasn't aged well.

"hasn't aged well" is code for "I liked this as a kid but now realize it to be mediocre/bad"
  • i was laughing after reading particle tach

then i saw mike huckabee and i stopped laughing

most of my favorite things are kid stuff and I've always recognized that but it's so weird sometimes

though I do resent when things like Rocko's Modern Life get written off as kid stuff with the only adult things being the innuendos
  • What are you talking about people slaver over Rocko's Modern Life

    it's a sacred cow.

i saw some one dude say they never laughed at it as a kid

It's not really a kids' show, but in 1993 where the hell was its perverse ass supposed to go? MTV would have wanted an "edgier" show, Cartoon Network was just getting started and Hanna-Barbera was trying to shake off its toxic reputation...

IMHO, the flames of Bioware hate didn't seem as large over the ending of ME3 as they did over Dragon-Age 2.
  • image Wee yea erra chs hymmnos mea.
The original ending of Mass Effect 3 is amazing because of all the whining it caused.
