You certainly enjoy being absent don't you. don't think for one second that people have forgotten. Or else I will have to shove intellectualism down your throat.
I rarely say such, but the MLP fandom is among my least favorite solely for the amount of complete lunatics it seems to attract.
It's about being neither fringe enough nor ubiquitous enough to shake off a sufficient amount of kooks. Plus, niche appeal, the potential for a stigma-based martyr complex, strong nostalgic qualities—it's really a perfect storm of modern fandom issues.
Honestly I'm just mostly annoyed by people who insist that the show isn't for little girls because yes it fucking is.
Usually(It's been a while) I never saw people outright deny that they show had a targeted demographic in mind, just that the existence of this fact didn't deteriorate the show's quality as is tend to be case with shows that often do that kind of thing.
But then again, I just don't see the appeal in joining fandoms.

No, there's a pretty strong (probably small, but loud. This happens a lot) contingent that will tell you in complete seriousness that the show is "for them".
I recall a specific blog along these lines that had the tagline "respect us or we'll rape you ^.^"
The concept of something as "ruined" doesn't sit right with me.
Well, unfortunately, if you wear one out nowadays with anything casual, people are going to associate you with that crowd.
I suppose you could argue that an attempt should be made to wear such headwear anyway and fight the stereotype, but most people simply can't be bothered to consider the fedora that much of a cause.
My mom wears a lot of fedoras. I guess she gets a pass being female and well over thirty, but still.
That's a bit unusual. Does she wear them for any particular reason or just because?
She's worn them since she was in high school and she looks good in them. That's really it.
She sounds pretty cool.
Yeah I have to say that there seems to be no particular association if a woman wears a fedora. I have a couple female friends (well, former friends really. It's been awhile since I talked to either) who wore them from time to time, now that I think of it.

There's nothing wrong with "liking a kids' show", but the thing about that is that what you are liking is totally a kids' show.
There's also the self-identified "brony" crowd who overlap with the above and like to buy MLP shirts from hot topic.
I would say "to go with their fedoras", but fedoras do not deserve that kind of reputation.
is MLP even still going?
also is Faust ever launching that Galaxy Girls cartoon? It looked pretty alright.
Hawaiian Shirts get too much hate too.
I'm kind of defensive about that, having a small collection of them and all.

As for me, I prefer flatbrim caps anyway.
