Im a 20 year old male and i listen to a lot of different music except rap and country. Some of my favorite bands include

amon amarth
etc......

I also really enjoy listening to 80s pop such as

tears for fears
men at work
sting and the police
the smiths
big country
talk talk
duran duran
etc.......

I have been criticized and even a girl i knew told me "maybe if you didn't have such a weird taste in music you might not be alone". now im not gay i i just really like 80s pop and i really hate todays pop. Should i be open about my taste in music and should keep some of the music i listen to myself?
