Hmm...I like the simplicity of the mobile theme, but it is lacking a bunch of features, including proper pagination and tagging...
I agree with CA, the mobile theme is convenient for those of us that use iDevices and Androids on a regular basis, so it'd be kind of strange not using it here, though it could use a bit of work.

They're supposed to be for mods to split and merge threads, but for some reason everybody can see them (though only mods can use them, thankfully).

Ah, I think I know what's happening here. IJBM2 had the same problem: The cookies treat "www.heapershangout.com" and "heapershangout.com" as two separate domains, so you can be logged in on one but not the other, even though they're the same site.
CA: Not sure. I could make one a redirect to the other, but you'd also think that Garden would have that covered somehow. I'll look at it when I get home.
Also, I wonder how IJBM2 implemented their "mark all as read" button, since that's a feature I've been wanting since forever.

^^TRUE, but it was a good suggestion to implement a feature that some people want while making it unlikely that those that would never use it would do it accidentally.
The irony is that I didn't like it with TVTropes(I'd like to have the option to personally disable it), but I actually agree that it can utterly suck when it happens.
What's nice about the Garden confirmation box is that it's a popup, not a separate PHP script, so it doesn't lose your place in the history when it comes up.

Yeah, that is pretty silly, isn't it. :| I'm stuck at work getting angry at Windows internals (again), so I may be a few more minutes, but I'm going to fix this tonight. The idea is to make all the wildcards redirect to www.
