  I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat

  The Phantom Menace feels like it has only the thinnest connection to the big picture, and Attack of the Clones is basically an incoherent mess

  The plot of TPM could have been reduced to just the final lightsaber duel with minimal loss of meaning.

  Even though it's my favorite of the prequels.
  
  AOTC digs its tendrils a little deeper. It feels at once completely pointless and yet inordinately important to understanding what's going on in the trilogy

  I know the Trade Federation stuff came of out left field. I barely understood it back in 1999, and I didn't care enough for the movie to watch it again and figure it out. 

  
  

  As for the Mac, the big fear back then was that the Mac would drop the brushed aluminum and turn into the same kind of gaudy black box that most high-end PCs had become, complete with the funny-car stickers ("intel inside" was a commonly mentioned one) a lot of cheap PCs use.
