Totally agreeing with Armin here. The redesign isn't a fantastic or terrible one, but it was a much, MUCH needed update and it gets the job done.

(I will say that I'd like the brand mark much more if it were flat, however. I dunno if they'd be able to do that on a white background but if nothing else it would look nice on darker ones.)

(Also, I hope the redesign marks a change in American's attitude. Air Canada spoiled me in comparison to when I flew American to Oregon a few years back.)

Actually, in the US, Fox and FX are separate channels (Fox launched in 1986, FX in 1994). FX stands for "Fox eXtended". Changing the name in the UK makes sense from a corporate standpoint.

The Fox in the U.S. airs non-Fox shows as well (e.g. The Mindy Project, currently the only Universal Television production that isn't on NBC)

A good chunk of their shows are from 20th Century Fox Television, but still
