Doctor Who reference in Pokemon B2W2? Headcanon accepted.
The last election I was sitting on an IRC channel which wasn't my regular one, but anyway when the results came out out that Obama won, one of the people said "for once I'm proud of my country" which made me wonder if this person was walking around blind, ignorant or both for her entire life. Then about a year after that these exact same people were bitching and complaining and saying Obama was actually worse than Bush in every shape and form and they regret voting for him and then at that moment I remembered reading something Spike Lee put out a while back about the "magical negro".
I'm sure most of you have heard this term, but for those who haven't it basically means that it's an African-American stereotype who always shows up in the nick of time to pull the white man's chestnuts out of the fire. It's one of those well-intentioned but condescending things that the road to hell is paved with. I now completely believe that's what the average middle class white soccer mom, the one who put Clinton into office, expected Obama to do with the entire country and economy the second Obama stepped into the White House, and then got angry whenever the magical morning sunrise where everything was coming up cinnamon and daisies never occurred. This generation of young adults expected the exact same thing. What I'm basically saying is these people are spoiled, fucking idiots who don't deserve what they have now.
One of my friends is stationed in DC and works in the squadron that handles the President's helo, Marine One. He told me that whenever possible, the President makes sure to go out every morning he can to PT with the Marines at the White House and him and Michelle make sure that at every event or banquet that even the lowest ranking troop at the White House is made to feel like a valued guest. This alone is enough reason for me to want to vote for him, his actual politics be damned.
Watching more Phelous, and trying to figure out where some of the cues he used came from. I've figured out most of the Incompetech cues (he hasn't used many of those), but I get the feeling the ones I've had stuck in my head all day are either from other media or were written by Skitch.

Imi: I had forgotten that you had not listen to The Wall in its entirety
Joined [adult swim]'s forums to talk about Toonami.
Their interface is weird, you don't even get to pick your own avatars til you get to a certain point, but the community seems surprisingly chill.
Well, I'm 26 minutes in now. Quite good
If she's libertarian, I assume she'd choose Ron Paul. Since he seems to be the Libertarian's go-to this year, as far as my observations go.
That said
I believe Obama's a better leader than Paul in general, so more power to you.
I don't like Romney very much at all, to be perfectly honest.
Acronyms, my archnemesis! We meet again....

I actually quite like Obama.
I think he's done what he can for the country, and I think he can do a lot more for it, to boil my views down very, very basically.
But I do like music, and The Wall (one hour in, now) is shaping up to be one of the best albums I've heard.

and take their weapons leaving them dead
Also, Imi is finally listening to the Wall.
Oddly, I am very happy that I waited this long to listen to it. I don't think my younger self would really have "gotten" it.
