So I'm playing on The Sims 3, playing with a bunch of unrelated teenagers and I have managed to end up with a vampire/human gay teenage couple and a fairy/witch lesbian teenage couple. The only two teens in the house not in a relationship are the werewolf twins, at least not with each other.

Hmm. Haven't seen Disney's Moana. Don't know anything about Polynesian Mythology/Lore/Religion/Fable other than vaguely remembering the names Maui and Hina as important.
Knowing Disney, it's I don't expect it to be any more accurate than Disney's Hercules.
IIRC it's supposed to be a little better than something like Hercules (whose resemblance to the myth pretty much starts and ends with the names of characters) but still glaringly inaccurate in a number of ways.
you know, it actually surprised me how much they tried to make it true to the culture; from what I can tell it's an original story but it does feel like they tried to make it fit within the framework of Polynesian and Maori traditions rather than doing it the other way around (as Hercules did)
most of the cast has Polynesian heritage in one way or another, the initial script was written by Taika Waititi (who has Maori heritage) and had input from a South Pacific story trust, and the film as a whole just feels like it was made with the intent of honoring its source of inspiration rather than mocking it
they made a few mistakes for sure (the Maui Halloween costume was rather poorly thought out, for one) but it seemed like a move in the right direction on the whole
Yeah I guess that is basically what I had heard. I kinda hedged on account of having not seen the movie and also not knowing much about the myth, but maybe "a little better" is an understatement.
Nonetheless I have seen a couple strong-ish criticisms from Polynesian folks.

It's weird how much truer to the myths the Hercules TV series was. It actually had an episode about the unbinding of Prometheus, which actually happens in Greek myth but everybody ignores for some reason, and the story actually plays out like it does in said myth.
some writer on the movie felt really guilty and when they set them up at the tv show, they were like, aha! executives don't give a fuck about the tv plot, imma just have herc read out passages from bulfinch

tbh my mind went to the Beholster's laser eye thing in Gungeon, but only really because the developers of that game have been very forward about the fact that they love them some Dark Souls
Bringing up Lilo & Stitch in a conversation about modern Disney movies is like, I dunno, bringing up Jesus when talking about early Christian thinkers and acting like these two things are the same.

I've found a free dating website that seems okay, though I'm not giving out too much information about myself. I said that I'm looking for men, but I'm open if women contact me.
