I've always thought that Geology was extremely underrated. It should be the queen of sciences, it's the study of the earth itself! Of the stone beneath our feet, of the landscape and the rivers and the mineral deposits. Stones melting, mountains withering away, continents colliding, and all throughout a record of the five-billion-year history of earth!
The different types of soil, the vast diversity of feldspars, the textures and weights of stones.
There's just something about the stones by a river, how smooth and perfectly rounded they are.
Really, it's not hard to see why Facebook bought Oculus. Social VR's been gathering steam lately, and Zuckerberg would have seen that coming a mile away.
It does raise some interesting social issues when it comes to trans people, though.
Part of me hopes people never terraform Mars. Mars is too lovely and wonderful, despite those dang rovers leaving tacky tracks all over the place. I mean, it's like a whole planet of australia/nevada/arizona/southernUtah.
But planets outside the solar system, I don't care about. I never liked Kepler-186f anyway.
It's like making a bridge over the Grand Canyon, or leveling the Himalayas, or draining the pacific ocean, there are some things that I don't think people were ever intended to do.
Like, there are some places, like the inside of active volcanoes, or the surface of the sun, or the center of the earth, or deep into Antarctica, where I don't think people were ever supposed to go.

On the other hand, part of me is exited at new innovations and at how people do things that were once impossible. livesintherightcenturyliroz

For what it's worth, I am totally with you on both fronts. I once got into a very heated argument with someone who wanted to mine for water and helium on the moon for this very reason.
I'm more on the Forensics side of science. I get to solve crime with science.
Not sure which They Might Be Giants song is more appropriate here, or whether I should just hedge my bets and post the obvious Thomas Dolby or HEALTH tracks.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
What exactly is the distinction? Police lights are blue and emergency lights are red?

Also, it means that I left the North American continent, which feels wrong, as if there is some sort of prophecy that I won't die until after I leave this continent and now that requirement is fufilled.
Well, if the prophecy is already fulfilled, no reason you can't leave it again.
It just works so much better than any of the canon romances. I mean, Joker gets three times as much screentime across all the games than Talia and Selina combined.

They've stopped that nowadays because it takes away from demanding right wing death squads to deal with immigrants.

Go on! Check out Germany!
And two pacifist runs before he got the good ending, too.
