Madlib (the producer, Madvillain is MF DOOM and Madlib together as a group) likes using unusual instruments and samples in his beats. He also has a one-man jazz band.

DOOM likes old cartoons and comic books and in some sense I think he and Anonus are sort of kindred spirits.

It's a lesser entry into the DOOM canon but still pretty good, also he incorporates the name of that one Icelandic volcano into a verse.
