    i wasn't aware punter was a regionalism

this form of civil disobedience dates to the roman period, when unsatisfactory publicans had fish affixed to their faces with pitch

i think in us use i've only seen it in football context, as in the player whose role is to punt

    5. (Britain, slang) A customer of a commercial establishment, frequently of a pub or (alternatively) of a prostitute.

also i've heard "punt" in MIT slang meaning to "stop doing or not do something substantive or productive, e.g. studying"

it's used as a verb, so there's "punted", "punting", etc.

but "punter" is rare...since students regularly do both "punting" and its opposite "tooling" ("working really hard on something")

I left myself 14 minutes to get ready for class...and I still made it on time.

I just had to cut out all the nonessentials, like "showering" or "brewing my own coffee" or "saying good morning to Anonus".

I don't recommend it, but it can be done. 🤷🏻

Coffee is one of those things which I will never willingly have anything to do with.  That list also includes Labor Unions, the Metric System, and Macintosh Computers.

The list, however, does not include tripleposts, broken up or otherwise, because some amusements never stop amusing me.

I remember being really disappointed in the mid-2000s when Apple dropped the name "Macintosh" in favor of just "Mac"

I use Windows, more out of inertia than anything else, though I don't dislike macOS

You'd voluntarily live more than five miles from the site of your birth, you'd join a protest of your own free will, you question authority, and your problem is with the second, rather than first, amendment.  Those are all normal-person things I simply cannot understand.

    IS THIS YOU????
  • Touch the cow. Do it now.
Personally, I find it inconceivable that some people don't feel the need to question authority.
