I remember when the Television show House came out and it was, like, the show with the jerkface doctor who got away with stuff that would get real people fired in a heartbeat and it was all "adult" and stuff, because at least he was saving lives or whatever.
And, like, today I realize that it was a reference to Sherlock Holmes the entire time because Holmes = Homes = House.

You are one of the few people other than myself who can tell apart 95, 98, and NT4 just from a single screenshot and I appreciate that.
how do you tell them apart?
operating systems were my autistic obsession when I was 13-14, back when 95, 98, and NT could still be found in use some places. i kinda just memorized little details like how Windows 98 has gradient title bars by default but NT4 and 95 have solid color title bars.

He has a successful doctor friend with a last name starting with W and ending with N. Watson in Holmes's case, Wilson in House's case.
He does drugs to deal with his general boredom and malaise when not solving a mystery. Cocaine in Holmes's case, Vicodin in House's case.
They both play musical instruments to relax, respectively the violin, and the guitar.
There was an episode where House was shot by a man named Jack Moriarty.

I assume she is the patient that manages to figure out her own cure, get out of blackmail, and marry the man she loves instead of the king of Saudi Arabia or somewheres and has no interest in House.
Aw, who am I kidding, she's just a smart sneaky female with massive crush on House because WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS IN ADAPTATIONS.
That only happened because the Puppies are having a prolonged temper tantrum about If You Were A Dinosaur, My Love being nominated for a Hugo two years ago
