The safespot on Kogasa's first spellcard isn't that hard to do. It's the nonspell that is the hard thing to safespot... I suggest learning it if you still want to continue playing this game.

I watched a replay by a player who is roughly at my skill level. I'm beginning to question my decision to play mainly with Reimu because Sanae seems to be the favorite in Lunatic runs and, slightly larger hitbox aside (3x3, I think), she has better abilities for a high level of play.

Input lag or control failures? In other words, play the game without vpatch, or try to choke Windows 8 with th12.exe plus vpatch because Microsoft doesn't understand why ram is fucking important.

I will play today for eight hours until either I beat the game or my gf comes back. I will not stop. I am going to finish this and get it the F U C K out of the way. I am so sick of it I want to vomit. I have spent literally 50+ hours practicing. Other people did it in 30. I am supposed to have done it by now. People *at my skill level* have done it, executing the same techniques I do. Something that's been bugging me: What's the difference between cultural appropriation and cultural blending? I can see something being problematic if you just take it verbatim and "whiten it up" (Pat Boone got a lot of crap for that, as did Elvis), but I have to wonder if things like rock and jazz fusion would even exist if it wasn't for some amount of borrowing.

I don't get this. I really just do not get this at all. It makes no sense. I don't get it. I wish this made sense. I wish the replays I watch could translate into things I do. Two plus two should equal four but it always seems to equal three. I can't even get near the end of the game without shaking too much to control the character well. I wonder if it's time to admit that I really suck at this. Maybe I really suck at this. Maybe I should stop using Reimu and start using Sanae. Maybe I have everything wrong.

Why isn't there a level select that doesn't require me to finish the game? Why is there no spell practice feature? Why can't I skip to the boss fights? My head hurts. I don't want to play but if I don't then I will keep getting worse and then I will never do this.

I just did like god knows how many attempts but with more experimenting. I dodged more spell cards than I thought I could. I haven't seen the last stage even once today. le sigh...

hmm, I know. :o The entire game is a shepard tone: it feels like you're getting better, but when you look backwards, you didn't get any further at all. :D
