Reminds me, i got a diagnosis from the doctor today; it *is* tinnitus i have, and they can't do anything about it. :/ i just have to wait and hope it goes away eventually.
Incidentally, Odradek, i liked some of Phil Sandifer's Doctor Who blog posts
-joke about 'Qlippothic' goes here- but no really, i thought his analyses were pretty good, even when i wasn't wholly convinced it was at least interesting reading
i haven't been following his recent stuff so idk anything about Neoreaction a Basilisk. i can get feeling sorry for Yudkowsky, though, dude's said some dumb things but i can believe he never wanted the attention from the fascist types.

And yes, I do believe that Yudkowsky never wanted attention from fascists, and I do respect him for being willing to outright repudiate them unlike certain other rationalists I could mention.

You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
I like the part at 0:33 where the clock is very poorly superimposed into the scene

It's not like a hard-and-fast rule or anything, but most clock faces with roman numerals have "IIII" for 4
The most notable exception is Big Ben, which has "IV"

Apparently a "reblog if you're literally Star Butterfly" post mainly attracts, uh, underage kids.

I've always liked how "I want, I want my, I want my MTV" is to the same tune as "Don't stand, don't stand so, don't stand so close to me."
Given that both are Sting it's probably not a coincidence. :P

Embarrassing moment of the day: sending medical excuses to my professors while loopy from cold medicine and accidentally putting the wrong course/section number in one.
I replied to the very confused professor and explained that, yeah, I was kinda out of it and just made a mistake.

In my first and only year of college I was so out of it the one day that I referred to my media professor as "Dad".
I don't normally call anyone Dad so it's a pretty weird mixup.
I like that song because it's literally just the result of listening to the ramblings of a working class dude installing TV monitors in a store.
I appreciate it more because of the kind of people I've worked with. Creativity and intellectualism are frowned upon by many in the working class, at least around where I am. That's an over generalization, but it is a common vibe.

It's pretty common ime too.
Of course when I worked at Rite-Aid which was more "educated" people, you got the vibe of your coworkers all thinking they were much smarter than anyone else.

I am so mad that we didn't get this boxart. Granted, not like I'd willingly buy Agarest in the first place, but still.

I'm just hoping I can convince my parents to let me not get a comsci minor. I mean, what a brand, what a dark stain on my permanent record.
I mean, can you imagine someone with a comsci minor being allowed to be librarian of congress?
