Forgotten MSPA Facts: Andrew Hussie once gave himself a horrible, horrible computer virus after downloading a .zip file full of shitty wizard wallpapers while making the interior of Rose’s house.
Bizarre aside: I was looking up some info on the noise-punk/queercore group Sexgender, and I noticed that they had collaborated with a group called Hive Bent—who, given their references to wicked elixir and the Scourge Sisters on their Bandcamp are almost certainly named in reference to Act Five.
They are delightfully noisy and in-your-face. Not unexpected given their friends, but still, bands that make songs about web-comic characters have no right to be this gnarly.
They're like the ultimate boss monsters that inhabit each land, named after mythological creatures, which can make deals with players. Jade's was Echidna, and she helped Jade create the genesis frog in exchange for Jade's promise to take the planets of their session with them. John's is Typheus (I think) and Terezi accidentally got John killed once by having him prematurely confront him.
Also: Hephaestus is the one that gave Dave his timetables; and Yaldabaoth is both Dirk and Caliborn's Denizen, and presented the latter with the choice that allowed him to ultimately become Lord English.
[It looks like this was a doomed timeline, just like the one after Dave's entry, and John is coming back, Davesprite style, to fix things. Also, nice callback to Dave and Karkat's penis ouija there. XD]
Also, it's weird reading Jade and John's conversation in Act 6 Intermission 1 now, especially knowing that she wouldn't have been happy to see John go...
Also also: Is it just me, or is Roxy the only one of the Alpha kids that has a solid grasp of what's going on? Jane is naïve and oblivious, Jake is immature and overly credible, and Dirk's irony is covering a whole mess of self-loathing, though that's not quite that obvious until later.
Also also also: I wonder if Jade will put two and two together about frogs and cherubs when she sees Calliope's true appearance...or at least remembers the alternate Calliope's appearance more clearly.

Pretty much, yeah. When Dirk said Roxy was the real spiritual leader of the group, I think he was spot on. Plus, her sprite was 50% Feferi—lest we forget, one of the most clued-in trolls game-wise.
Man, I've forgotten how brutal that part near the end of Act 6 Act 2 is, where Jake just blithers on about his problems and Jane is so sick of hearing it, but just doesn't have the heart to yell at him about it. Which is too bad, because he is kind of being a dick here. :P
ROSE: You do realize we've seen her already, right? DAVE: what DAVE: when ROSE: Months ago. ROSE: In a dream. ROSE: She was floating along in Derse pajamas, asleep. DAVE: wait that was her ROSE: Yes. DAVE: oh DAVE: huh DAVE: ..... ROSE: You're wondering why I didn't tell you? DAVE: no ROSE: You're specifically wondering why I wasn't forthcoming with an answer to your question at the time, "hey who was that choice babe in the pajamas?" DAVE: god fucking dammit
That sequence also made me think it's not even a real arrangement in troll society, it's just something Karkat saw in a crappy romance novel and wanted to try to make work in real life.
More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
I'm getting goosebumps because puzzles that were introduced THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF PAGES AGO, that I thought we would literally never know the answers to, are getting solved and falling into place. Oh my god. This comic.
So Caliborn not dominating caused a doomed timeline. Rings and resurrection aside, I'm wondering if the key to winning all this would be to somehow loop Calliope and Caliborn completely out of existence. I know that's what Aranea had in mind, but she also did it completely wrong because she wasn't a hero of Time.
