You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022

tbh I don't mind this meme actually, I just felt like being snarky
Holy christ, he's going on about how a questionnaire used to help depression diagnoses doesn't have "positive questions" like "How often do you feel happy?" and is deliberately designed to push you towards a depression diagnosis/anti-depressant prescription.
well i guess 'how often do you feel happy' *does* seem like a relevant question?
i do get irritated with those questionnaires . . . i feel like they don't really let me indicate how bad i've felt, or for how long, so sometimes i get a depression score that seems higher (or lower) than it should be

The thing is, he's completely ignored the fact that the piece of paper is not, in fact, gonna be the one diagnosing you, and that it oddly enough, does not have a degree in psychiatry.
Eh, the Pacific Rim article is not bad but like, it's basically just "the characters are boring in this action movie" which is probably like the 50th most common sentence in the English language.
Also, Gunbuster is a mecha vs giant monsters anime which is also a sports movie and it's the best thing ever so I don't really see the problem with that part.
(Also Pacific Rim is Literally Just Gunbuster anyway.)
i read it but it was about a movie i haven't watched
i've thought about seeing it but if that review is to be believed i guess i probably wouldn't like it that much
Well you know, there are two Pacific Rims
There is one that is just kind of a bland action movie with some good Charlie Day and Ron Perlman scenes.
And then there's another, separate movie, that is apparently a feminist progressive masterpiece with edge of your seat action that's a billion times better than any action in this decade.
If Suicide Squad had come out minus Jared Leto Joker and the baggage of console wars, it would have had the exact same reaction Pacific Rim had on Tumblr

Less Surrealist, more Neo-Dadaist if anything.
Internet Surrealism is more like, I dunno, vapourwave.
also i can't not see this show as a shitty animated achewood. like god damn
ART.
I definitely got both though.
. . . you are a bird and i am unsure how to feel about this
*eats burger*
Remember Henery Hawk?

was just noting that those questionnaires do make me feel kind of frustrated
This was the specific one he was taking issue with. (Note that it explicitly tells you to talk to a professional.)
the version i have to fill out is IAPT Questionnaire 1, PHQ-9 (i also have to fill out questionnaires 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6)

1. it would be cool if you could actually see the action scenes on a TV in real life
2. the movie is instantly ruined once someone points out to you that the plot is, beat for beat, exactly a reskin of Independence Day
all movies I haven't seen are shitty
