You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
Earthbound is one of those games that's hard to play with modern standards for RPGs, but half of the major formations of nerd culture would never have existed without it(Homestuck, Undertale)
I think the gameplay is decent enough because I like turn based RPGs and because the relative simplicity of it makes it feel almost more like a puzzle game
Finally, it is best to avoid ambiguities rather than rely on Inform to know which meaning is patently absurd. For instance, in
Heatwave bone breaks clog hospital.
(a headline once printed by the Oxford Mail newspaper) a human reader quickly realises that there is no clog hospital being broken. But if Inform had been taught the verbs to break and to clog then that is exactly the conclusion it would have drawn.
this example sort of fails for me since i can't for the life of me understand what that headline means

There was a kid in my school named King Arthur. He used to get called to the principal's office a lot, although I never met him so far as I know. It was kind of like Al and his not-pancake-house in Gilmore Girls.
....King Arthur?
not like, Arthur King (aka King, Arthur). Like his first name was King?
His first name was, indeed, King. I think his sister's name was Princess, but she was significantly younger so I never heard her mentioned over the school intercom.

the ones I ordered are burgundy.
They're just lightweight drapey wide-legged pants. Very comfy to wear in summertime.
