I've been worried that one of my ideas is way too similar to it >_<
Man it sucks that an idea of a modern city populated by intelligent animals was the completely unique and original basis of that movie, and that movie alone, darn, guess you can't use that anymore huh?

Yeah I don't know if I have any advice about that. The thing I wrote was basically just definition-theorem-proof-repeat lifted from various books.
Is the problem more with the actual math or with the presenting of it?
I guess you could do something like: start by writing up your layman's explanation and then try to do the formal explanation in such a way that the two correspond? That might help you figure out how to structure things, if that's what you're worried about.

Periodic Reminder: Keep your operating system and apps updated unless the idea of having your credit card numbers stolen and all your personal files encrypted is appealing to you.

no.
I'm not talking about installing Windows 10.
I'm saying that if you have Windows 7 or 8 you should make sure you have the latest patches for that system.

I use a computer made out of rocks.
I suppose silicon could technically be considered a rock.

I admit, the only reason I brought this up is because encryption ransomware terrifies me.
For those lucky enough to not know: you get some malware on your system, it encrypts all your files in a way that's effectively impossible to brute-force, and demands a payment in bitcoin in exchange for the decryption key.
So, if you ever get hit with that, you're screwed unless you have a good backup of all your stuff.

while this does suck i think the things that are prevented by keeping your stuff up to date are mostly more insiduous things like keyloggers that I probably have thousands of on my system.

I really like how Spotify maximizes its window to cover the taskbar before it hangs. Killer feature right there.
My mom loves Spotify, but Spotify is pure trash unless you pay for it, and even then I'm not sure its worth it because we already have Google Play All Access and Amazon Prime Music.

i use transmission, but that might be annoying on windows. i would just get something that doesn't have the word "adware" in its wikipedia article (like µTorrent does)
bittorrent the protocol is safe, all it does is updownload shit. though you might sometimes get arrested for that.
sometimes the clients are bad though.
Also piracy itself can get pretty shady. You gotta be real careful to make sure you're not downloading malware.
this is actually something I've never really had a problem with
yeah but then you're a dick.
that is relative.

I understand there's an easily installable Windows port of transmission these days, but I don't have a link handy.
