What's the appeal of Beavis & Butt-head? Like, what caused it to gain such a following, what resonated with its viewers or whatever.
I've read the Wikipedia article several times over the years, and I feel like I understand it, but don't get it.
You know how Tom and Jerry cartoons derive humor from the physical pain they inflict on their characters? Beavis and Butthead is like that, but for teenagers.
... hm. That sounds strangely compelling, given I've always at least appreciated T&J.
It's not even morals, the world's trying desperately to teach them common sense and basic self-preservation and somehow they avoid all long-lasting harm from the repercussions of their actions.
This was all helpful, thanks. Definitely going to give it a fair shake sometime.
@Crystal: To add to this, another part of the appeal, at least for my friends who used to watch Beavis and Butthead when they were teenagers, all the heavy metal references and music videos were a big part of the appeal too, especially when there weren't many other people who were interested in metal, at least that we knew about.
Well I'm also not a metalhead so that would explain part of the disinterest. But this time it turns out that makes me more interested, I think. Thanks.
Also I might get Godhead on this run, guys. Guys, Godhead.
well we vaped hella weed tried cooking some stuff and then double monstro killed Crystal because she's a scrub apparently and now you can preorder a mysterious taco bell item
Most of the TES spin off games are rather trivial, and Battlespire isn't an exception. I would say only Redguard is really an exception. Granted, I haven't played any of them, mainly because playing old games on a modern computer is needlessly complicated.
But their triviality is rather disappointing to me because a spin off would be a great way to tell a more personal, intimate story and some different gameplay would be good for the series.

D'aww, thanks. ^_^
^^ And you are a super girly boy, which is pretty much the second best thing to be, IMO.
