i vaguely remember being annoyed when they decided to make that franchise go beyond three movies because the third seemed pretty conclusive but i can't remember why
idk if it was good b/c i havent seen it but i will agree on being annoyed on account of 3 being pretty conclusive, but that said i found every pirates thing i saw to be Pretty Good and i guess 4 would be Pretty Good if i were to see it

it has mermaids and a sword that controls a ship which is pretty cool

I dreamed my parents had a Ford F-Series pickup and I had an early-'90s Ford Econoline van.
i seem to remember finding it funny when it came out, but i don't like how vicious it is
there seems to have been something of a backlash lately against things that are just *fun*, in a dumb, superficial way sure but that people share because they're entertaining
I have also only seen it once, but I don't watch movies multiple times very often.
i find i forget the details of things if i only see them the once
also that sometimes things that bowled me over the first time felt somewhat flat on rewatch (Avatar, District 9, Inception . . . i've a feeling i'd feel this way about Dark Knight Rises, too)

3rd was not bad, but dragged on a bit for me, and the end definitely felt like the end of the trilogy
4th was ok, but imo not as good as the first 3
not that the latter 2 were humourless
that pagetopper does not matter
now that i think about it it was mostly 3 that felt lacking in humour
4 had jokes but it just felt a bit . . . flat, at times? idk, i've only seen it the once

it's like, it almost felt like there was less reason to care about what was going on somehow?
