If I may go back to the high school talk for a moment, what exactly is the difference between AP, IB, and other classes like that? I think I vaguely understand it, but I am not really sure (I have heard of people being in IB programs, but not just taking IB classes for example). Are those types of classes generally considered to only be taken by super smarties? Do they both count for college credit?

LW: AP and IB are both college-level and can be counted towards core curriculum at your uni, though beyond that I'm not sure of the differences. I know that for AP you have to take a test to get the credit.
