A four month old feral kitten eating an adult sized cottontail rabbit. She starts from the head and consumes everything (including the bones), only leaving the rear legs, the backbone and sometimes the lower jaw.

If this were a holiday special, this would be where I say something like "Aww Mojave, you can ALWAYS celebrate!" and then I'd think of some fun, modest way to celebrate with just us here on HH
However, I have no idea if that's something that would be welcome in real life
I dunno. I mean you can do what you want and I won't be offended.
My mom has to work and my little brothers are going to be with their dad on Thanksgiving. I might bug my mom for some money so I can at least go to the diner downtown or something.
I didn't know Jehovah's Witnesses didn't celebrate holidays.
Some of the Slavic parts of my family are very strict about observing Orthodox Christmas as opposed to its western date, but beyond that I can't think of any holiday prohibitions in my family.
My uncle Scott-Matthew usually throws a big dinner at his place but he's both the type to get offended if you don't eat everything he cooks and I simply don't have a way to get there.

*performs elaborate, sappy musical number about how we can always celebrate...as long as we believe*

A Very Central Avenue Thanksgiving is brought to you by The Five Singers Restaurant. Eat here, because Waiterman doesn't want his old job as a crossing guard back!
I remember when Thanksgiving was treated like a major event, now it sorta seems to have fallen into a second-slot status alongside Veteran's Day and the like. Used mostly for sales and such.

It's not really a huge issue. Usually my immediate family goes to the Old Country Buffet in Whitehall and I had wanted to see the new renovations, unfortunately I'm not gonna get to.
I may or may not be Jewish. I've never asked about it but I do share a surname with Rabbi Robert Auman, I'm just not sure if we're related or our surnames come from the same place (the long-gone village of Aumansberg in what's now Belgium.)
Ethiopian is interesting. Ethiopia had one of the longest-lasting monarchies in the world under the Solomonids, I believe.

It saddens me that Thanksgiving, as an event, seems to steadily be eaten away by Black Friday commercialism. :\

Attention to detail: If you have a keyboard connected (as I do), Android will actually let you switch apps with Alt+Tab

Actually Android in general seems surprisingly keyboard-friendly for an operating system designed for devices without keyboards

mad muthafuckin' hardcore. well, I've said before that the Dutch side my family has an inflated sense of self-importance, and I stand by that.
It's cool sometimes but it usually means they're just snobs about stuff.

I can get my stuff from the Salvation Army for $1 instead of $2.
I'm going to go play more Hearthstone.
