  I love all of the subtle stoner references in RS. It's one of the few things I can think of that has genuine appeal for children, adults and burnouts.

  Ren & Stimpy is a masterful, lovingly made, accute and relentless assault on the eyes, brain and stomach.
  
  Whereas in most cases things made on actual drugs are unfinished, directionless and unfit to publish.

  Oh, hey, I solved the traffic light mystery through Google Street View.

  
  

  There is indeed a signal head with flashing red on the bottom--but it's for a driveway adjacent to the fire station, not the driveway there the fire trucks come out. That driveway seems to be controlled by regular R/Y/G signals that rest on flashing red.

  
  

  So as far as I can tell, the cycles would go something like this: Yearling Road rests on flashing yellow, the fire station rests on flashing red, and the adjacent driveway rests on flashing red. When the firefighters are called out, Yearling Road goes yellow, then red; the adjacent driveway goes yellow, then red, then the fire engines get green. Once they've left the station, the light facing the station goes yellow, then back to flashing red and the system returns to resting mode.

  Honestly I've always said "failure" as a noun, so it was weird to me when other people started saying "fail".

  Just like it was weird in my second year of high school when everyone started wearing checkerboard clothes a month or so after I did.
