That's not really how I remember it. A lot of people did ignore her; either that or they didn't understand her points, or they disagreed but didn't bother to address them.

I've pointed out before that this was rarely brought up when it was actually relevant. It's honestly really presumptuous, not of you, but of her, to just expect that people would care when she'd start spouting off about something. And it usually was spouting off. I cannot honestly recall a single argument she ever made on one of her pet subjects that was anything but condescending, smug, and accusatory.
And frankly? I think a lot of people just tuned her out because she talked about Norse stuff a lot and people tend to tune out anorakia (not here, obviously, but in general).
I dont know what the hell you're talking about because I found Anne to be the opposite of being condescending,smug and accusatory in normal conversation. The only time I ever saw Anne being like that was when she got pissed off with Eddie and the mod team because they refused to ban the terrible people with terrible opinions and banned people who called those people out.
Do you realize how juvenile this sounds? This is what puts me off. You can't just say "the pedophiles" or "the people advocating mass murder" you have to say HORRIBLE PEOPLE WITH HORRIBLE OPINIONS and then you guys wonder why no one takes you seriously!

I'm not making a real return here per se. I've more or less lost interest in this sort of community as a whole. Not that I'm really faulting any specific people for that or anything, it's just that I think I've already gotten most of what I can out of this, and I'm trying to focus more on socializing in meatspace.
I've just been thinking about all the times I got worked up about something stupid or jumped the gun on some sort of judgement, and alienated people as a result of that.
I'm not asking for forgiveness or validation. I just felt like posting to put it on the record that I recognize that I have faults and I'm trying to grow out of them, and that if it ever seemed that I held ill-will towards anyone in the past, I don't now. And, I guess maybe also to answer some questions if anyone was especially curious about what I've been up to.
