  • More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
good people who stand up in a torrent of hopeless evil
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
Seems like a lot of effort to put in each week. Now, going to High Mass on a major holiday for kicks, I could understand. It's grand theatre. Or maybe to a revival meeting. But every Sunday? Why not just get high and watch cartoons like normal god-loathing heathens?

Crash Worship in their heyday must have really been something to experience.

I'm getting real tired of the whole "It's 'transgender', not 'transgendered'!" thing

Why did the stubborn refusal to understand grammar have to latch on to my category of queerness? Can't we pass this off on the gay men for once?

If Goofy's supposed to be the dumb one, how come he's the only one that knows how to dress himself completely?

Certain bloggers insist that the suffix "-ed" means "transgendered" must be a past-tense verb, and so only "transgender" is correct, because it's an adjective. Or, as they put it, "transgender is something you are, not something that's happened to you!"

Which is silly, of course, because "curly hair" isn't something that happens to you either, but you would of course call me a "curly-haired person".

Precisely. The suffix "-ed" in this case does not imply that X "happened to you," but that it is your state of being. Either should be completely acceptable.

this is why i'd be willing to give the 'Welcome to tumblr' video the benefit of the doubt, incidentally

people on tumblr might not take offence to the word 'everyone', but there really are people who get mad at you for using perfectly ordinary English expressions because of connotations that you clearly didn't intend

My ranking of best images on the Internet goes more or less like this
    1- Fatal1ty's Gamer Food ad
2- The 4chan screencap of the guy walking into Gamestop holding a pigeon
3- The 4chan screencap of the guy preordering M&M Kart Racers
4- The one I posted on the NSFW thread

I admit, I often feel like I have to walk on eggshells when it comes to Tumblr

call them faggots and/or send them weird porn

    or ignore them

Tags are for the benefit of random tumblrites you don't personally know only unless they're trigger warnings. You really shouldn't use them unless you're trying to attract attention (which there can be reason to do, just not usually).
  • I like Lain's Horrible Adventure for the most part, but I was really hoping that the latest build would've removed the stupid "gamey" elements that aren't there for any good reason.

    I can understand that thinking

    But at the same time

If I don't tag my posts I'll never be able to find them again among the 4000 other things on my blog

that's only a concern if you think you'll need them

in which case just tag things "central_avenue_(whatever tag you were going to use)"

I don't think anyone here has ever, for example, accused white people of making up their ethnicities.

Ah, well, it's not as bad as the usual stuff. It's just one of those inexplicable movie adaptations. Like Battleship, but somehow worse.

This year is the 10th anniversary of Mozilla Firefox

I wonder if Mozilla will do anything to commemorate it

I still remember running the beta version of 1.0 on Mac OS X Panther back in the day...before that I'd been using Mozilla Suite
