It helps that Copters and Mechs are possibly the most versatile units in the game, and his transports get that very helpful +1 move speed.

Battle Copters can take out most things, Mechs can be used to take out Anti-Air and Missiles. Just throw in the occasional tank and rocket, with a bomber here and there, and Sensei can take out everything.

Reading about Chip's Challenge on a wiki dedicated to it. I'm surprised to see the amount of effort people put into thinking of the fastest ways to solve the puzzles

[In the Atari Lynx version of the game,] Blue keys are destroyed by monsters and blocks, not just Chip.

That sounds rather frustrating. Then again, I'd probably be used to it if it was in the version I played.

Holy cow. One guy who makes custom Chip's Challenge levels made a monster-cloning puzzle that allegedly takes 314 septillion years to finish. How he managed to calculate all that out, I'm not sure.

It does sound rather suspect, upon second thought. I'm starting to wonder if it's more of a theoretical calculation instead of an actual thing. He is apparently an accomplished mathematician.

Either way it's stupid because I doubt anyone would play that game for that long. Anything beyond 200 years to solve is not worth solving at all, especially for video-games, in which the "worthiness of solving -> quality of subject" ratio is extendedly shorter since beating video-game levels is far-less important than almost everything else in the world.

According to the article I was reading, it's a really long timing-based puzzle. There are monsters that slide back and forth on different-length ice panels that only line up once in a ridiculously long amount of time. When they do, a monster clears a bomb out of the way. You're supposed to wait for about 50 of these cycles before all the bombs are gone.

Yeah, I'm sticking to the puzzles that have reasonable time limits.

I played the demo for the 3DS version of MGS3.

I'm not sure why Konami just reused the inferior demo rather than something based off the finished product. :|

I may also get Link's Awakening DX off the 3DS eShop. I've been waiting to properly play that game for a while.
