  • Sup bitches, witches, Haters, and trolls.

No one has ever volunteered to join the Space Patrol before.

I can only infer that this means that OVER JUSTICE was, against all understanding, forced into this

he'd rather be a non-space cop i think, since apparently inferno cop or something?
  • image Wee yea erra chs hymmnos mea.
    Apparently he's Inferno Cop's boss.

I keep forgetting about Sexy Sweets Dagashi Kashi having an anime adaptation, but it has not left my memory. So I did the smart thing and got my hands on a batch for later.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
So Alpha Omega Nova from Space Patrol Luluco is officially Kaworu is Kaworu were an Imaishi character. Established that in five minutes like hot damn.
  • kill living beings
is that japanese for "smiles warmly at all times, inappropriately"
  • imagei will watch the heck outta this pumpkin patch
given that Imaishi worked on NGE that probably isn't a coincidence
  • Munch munch, chomp chomp...
Gosh I am enjoying this season!
  • So, the ending of Yuri Kuma Arashi. Still figuring out how I feel about it. It's probably gonna take a second viewing at some point to absorb a lot of things. Still, it was very well done.

Luluco keeps getting more and more ridiculous and it's great.

SPACE PIRATE MUM. Also I'm pretty sure her clothes are made of life fibers.
  • kill living beings
It should trigger the will of justice, or something, and
  • We can do anything if we do it together.
Between the life fibers and Inferno Cop being a regular character, Imiaishi seems to be rolling up all his works into one universe, which is pretty cool to me.

Unfortunately, he probably couldn't get away with a P&S or TTGL reference because Trigger doesn't own them.

It should trigger the will of justice, or something, and

    THEORETICALLY POSSIBLE.
  • Well, I finally got the chance to watch Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood by, of all people, my little sister who's starting to get into the whole thing all of a sudden. She's also gotten Ace of Diamond and she's watched Spirited Away and the First 26 episodes of Naruto, I believe.

What should I get her to watch?

    twin peaks

jojos, maybe?  jojos is always good

    It is.

In terms of long-form action shows, Hunter x Hunter is my go-to recommendation; unfortunately, my tastes get a bit less, uh, accessible from there. Revolutionary Girl Utena, maybe? It's got swords and weird hair. Or Haibane Renmei and Kino's Journey, although that really depends on her age and emotional maturity.

FLCL is always a great gateway anime, IMO.

    Well, what's she like?

    Let's see...
    • She's only a few years younger than me.
    • A huge bookworm, but she mostly focuses on YA stuff
    • Wants to get into a science field, probably something in Medicine
    • Her television habits involve DC shows (Arrow/Flash/Supergirl, that sort of thing) and Community. Film habits are a lot more varied, I believe.

You know, I haven't spoken to her recently about her interests so I'm pretty much taking everything from memory. I'll speak to her later and see what she's really into, media-wise but for now, what stuff would she enjoy?

    Munch munch, chomp chomp...
Perhaps she'll enjoy Tiger & Bunny or Boku no Hero Academia then (not that I've watched either of those mind you). And since she likes Community then other stuff by Harmon could work, like Rick & Morty.

I'd second Utena. It's just a good time, really.

Katanagatari: Swords don't work that way
  • Splat Charger Specialist

Gatchaman Crowds makes me really happy, being a shonen show that touches on an idea I happen to love and appreciate, (That is, social networking being used for the greater good) as well as an enthusiastic, feminine protagonist whose girly personality is an uplifting presence in the atmosphere without seeming out of place.

    Also it has Rui Ninomiya.

    look at them. LOOK.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
Again, still need to see that. Apparently it has a good chunk of Mononoke and Kuuchuu Buranko's animation staff as well, so it's bound to be purdy.
  • kill living beings
    it is pretty.

personally i stopped watching sometime in the second season for various reasons. i did want to know why ichinose is a fucking zen master and it semeed to be hinting and going into that
  • Oh yeah that was a show I was going to watch and never did. I should do that maybe.

    Same though.

    yeah, gatchacrowds is great

okay, time to bump up this series in my to-watch list
  • Sup bitches, witches, Haters, and trolls.
Rui's gender is actually heavily debated by fans of the series
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
I got the impression that s/he was genderfluid, from what little I know about the show.
  • I was doing some cleaning and I found my Samurai Champloo DVDs, which I forgot had a bunch of Staff interviews on the inside of the DVD covers. I haven't been able to find these on the internet. Would anyone be interested in those enough for me to transcribe them?
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
    Sure!

By the way, I found something related that I might send your way, if you'd like. :3
  • We can do anything if we do it together.
    Go ahead.

Speaking of which, I still have to track down and listen to those commentaries Tsurumaki did on the FLCL DVDs.
  • Sure!

zac efron doesn't even look like light yagami anymore
  • Y'know there's something poetic about Coppelion, and I think that's what I like about it.

    y'know one interesting thing?

even when i DO watch recent shows, it seems that i somehow end up watching the ones that no one talks about (e.g. coppelion, arpeggio)

well either that or i lose interest in the ones that people do talk about (e.g. symphogear)
  • kill living beings
I finished Jojo and I gotta say: 200000¥ pants? What the fuck?
  • I wonder how many people will get references to Fractale.

I mean I watched it and remember it okay but I might miss a reference to it because who the heck talks about fractale ever
