It's always amused me that Aldi packaging tends to be covered in multiple barcodes, and that usually one or two of said barcodes run the full length of the package.

My favorite Aldi packaging are the ones that incorporate the barcode into the design. Usually it's just as some "stripes" up and down one side, but I know of at least one brand that had the barcode as part of the logo.

Ah. I see. Sorry to hear that. I mean I can still talk to you hear and while we've never really directly talked much, I'd prefer to have you stick around on TVT, as you offered some good perspective on various issues from time to time.
I'm still getting caught up on the backlog for that thread, though.
Yeah, the slope isn't just slippery, it's coated in Teflon and greased with silicone oil. Apparently not even Wikipedia's neutral point-of-view approach is enough; the Something Awful "SUFFER NOT THE PAEDO TO LIVE" approach is the one to use, which will end up cutting pretty much anything that discusses children at all. While it's good that he's relented on Lolita, and I'm glad that the more egregious pedo-bait stuff is going away, I'm not happy about the people who saw this as an opportunity to suggest cutting anything and everything that might ever have kids even thinking about romance in it, in all seriousness too.
Agreed, Lee. I don't think it's even needed to be cut, frankly. I'm fine with it gone, though.
Probably, Imi. Before this, the site was actually pretty good. The prudifying bit(not saying some of it isn't justified) is actually angering a lot of editors. I'm more worried the site'll fail at this point.
On the other hand... how many editors visit the forums, anyway? I don't think they're going to much care about this. My biggest worry is that they'll cut most of the forums. :<
The site's concept is that it catalogs conventions (tropes) in fiction. Now, there's a good bit of fiction out there dealing with potentially unsavory subjects, including the full range of sexuality. Naturally, some folks are gonna want to catalog all that too. If that's unacceptable, then what do you do? Make strict rules on what can be included? Keep the "bad" stuff behind a NSFW barrier of some kind?

This time for calling someone who likes KnJ "A paedophile"
Although the official reason was importing drama from one thread to another and being "an obstructionist"
I'm still getting caught up on the backlog for that thread, though.
