Alright like, that's great to know, but since we didn't know that until now, it looked like nothing was being done.
I'm not saying you gotta bring the guy to the figurative town square and whip him in public view, but a separate private note to all involved would probably be nice. On a larger forum that'd be unreasonable, but incidents happen here rarely enough that I don't think it's unreasonable here, just so all involved know that something is being done and what said something is.

I avoid threads dealing with philosophy and whatnot because they are more prone to dramas happening, I suspect. Also I find internet-philosophy to be boring and full of very strange conclusions with worrying implications. This is to say nothing of my own utopian vision of humans becoming machines. :D

You're not wrong--we should have stepped in publicly in the first place, or at least when we decided not to do that, we should have been consistent. I'm sorry you were singled out as a result.

I agree that publicly stepping in would have been the best result. I'm also sorry if it appeared I singled anyone one out, that wasn't my intention and I apologize to anyone who felt I was targeting them specifically.
All this being said please keep in mind we have rules. I say that as a general reminder since it is something that's happened a few times on the board. Don't start breaking them because someone already did. Flag suspect posts and follow up with a mod or admin (or a bunch of us) if you can't tell if anything had been done and would like to make sure the issue has gotten attention. Determining a correct method for dealing with a rule violation gets pretty difficult if we have multiple violations all because of a single thread or instance.

As far as I could see the only person being disrespectful was Mr Darcy, and then I guess possibly others who justifiably started to lose patience. I'm still unsure who was being accused of a rule violation here and whether I was one of those people.
I notice that Mr Darcy persisted in denying any wrongdoing on his part even after Justice's first post in the LW thread. It bothers me that this passed without comment.
Edit: when I made this post I was not aware that Darcy had already been banned, due to my rarely checking the activity page. >_>

(I don't have a specific thread in mind but I'm just worried since I have a few topic-specific threads I've started, which I'd like to be able to update with new information, and if they get too old...)
