Collin de Plancy is the one who discusses Adramelech's role. And his book is not one I own or can find online for for free. The internet has little to say past what I've mentioned in the thread.

Note that the book title should actually be "The Dictionary of Demons". I'm not sure why it was translated from French into English as "The Dictionary of Witchcraft." Maybe some sort of attempt by the translators or publishing company to convince people the book is EEEEEEEEEVIL! It was translated almost 50 years ago...

I'm hardly an expert, though I have a quite a few books beyond just what's on the Bible, in including several reference books. I've been looking into Kabbalah a bit. Kabbalah influenced Christian demonology quite a bit. Though if Solomon did in fact write many of the books attributed to him, than one could argue that demonology is something of a sub-set of
Kabbalah.

Judaism is, of course, rather similar to Islam and Christianity. People like to argue about which of the two religions it most resembles, but that gets crazy subjective.

Like Islam, there are deity requirements (in fact, Muslims are allowed to eat kosher foods, as stated in the Qur'an). No pork, meat has to be prepared a certain way, no shellfish, etc...

The Sabbath is usually adhered to still, as far as I know. It starts sundown on Friday night and lasts until three stars are visible on Saturday night (wonder what Jews and big cities are expected to do...). Certain activities are prohibited on the Sabbath though, there is disagreement between the Jewish sects as to the exact meaning (much like many Christian sects disagree on certain things).

Jewish families tend to put a high emphasis on the importance of study. This often extends past Jewish law into other fields. Some research I've looked into seems to suggest that Jews usually have higher IQs than most other religions and sects, as well as the irreligious.

The combination of study, ritual, dietary requirements, and other requirements laid out in their holy books creates a sort of "living worship" in which Jews are constantly performing actions or limiting their actions in a way that's pleasing to God.

Probably not so much if you where raised in that environment. Modern convinces make a great deal of it easier as well.

Some Orthodox Jews go so far as to consider turning on a light-switch work. However, stuff like motion sensors and automatic timers make it so they don't even have to worry about and the end up getting more free time as opposed to less.

Nimoy apparently did it as a nod to an Jewish Orthodox ritual. But this would just be a normal Hebrew Synagogue ritual.

Kabbalah doesn't really use has systems from what I've seen and researched. This idea seems to stem from a Christian author who... apparently hates everyone (including Catholics).

He seems to be attacking Kabbalahism because it could be linked to witchcraft. While it's true that Witchcraft probably has it's deep roots in Kabbalah ritual, this is largely because Christian demonology does as well, and modern occultism definitely has some roots in Demonology.

Saying a viewer observes Spock giving the Vulcan symbol is participating in Kabbalah ritual is like saying Church goers are participating in Necromancy when the priest says "He is risen."

It's more that the Church is married to Jesus. In the sense that the love between the two could be compared to a marriage. This is sort of a mental and emotional bond.

Jesus walked around talking about how awesome it was not to have sex. So that doesn't really enter into the equation.

a lady once came to my mother's church claiming she was a Queen
Witch, and she came there hoping to get out of it (Satanism), because
she was gonna have to sacrifice her two children on the altar to him.

They ran all us younger ones out of the church and the older
ones gathered around her, laid hands on her and prayed for her. She was a
very unattractive, heavy set woman, kinda dark complected like a
Mexican, frizzy black hair and every one of her teeth was a rotted,
black nubby. While praying for her she fell back on the floor with a
thud. They were right on top of her still praying in Jesus' name. They,
my mother and grandmother included, said she started foaming at the
mouth and biting her lips and blood ran down, and then Satan spoke
through this woman and started laughing and said in a man's voice, "I'll
see you ALLLL burn in hell, ha ha ha ha ha". They said they prayed many
demons out of her that night.

She continued coming to church quite often, but evidently was
still having trouble battling satan. The pastor worked with her on many,
many, many occasions. Come to find out, most of her family were into
Satanism!!

I was talking to her once at the church and she told me this, "I am a
lonely woman and I have needs, and Satan appears to me as the best
looking man I've ever laid eyes on and makes love to me" She also said
during the conversation that Satan can appear as anything he
wants......a cat or dog or whatever.

This frightened me (I was only about 19 or 20 at the time), so I
never spoke about it to her again. She, and some of her family,
continued in church off and on for years. They were all soooo strange
acting. Anyway, she passed away about 10 years or so ago and my mother
went to her funeral. My mother hadn't seen her in a while and she said
"if you didn't know that you were going to HER funeral, you would not
have recognized her. She was skin and bones (thin) and green".
