You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
Yeah, but it still feels weird. Half of the Summer of Steven episodes so far have not had any of them even appear on screen.
I can kind of understand why it was done this way (to balance out the barn arc where the Beach City supporting cast were absent) but I like these kinds of episodes better when they're more of a once-in-a-while thing rather than temporarily taking over the show. And given that thanks to weird scheduling those barn episodes aired a lifetime ago, it doesn't really give that feeling of balance anyway.
from a homeworld standpoint fusion is just a way to get stronger, so i guess she doesn't really understand the emotional aspects, why she and Lapis were bad for one another. for Jasper it's just 'more strong = more good'
I just caught up on the last six SU episodes and now I want to create a Totally Necessary And Not At All Self-Indulgent list of Fusions from most to least liked with my general take on why I like them so (because I do like all of'em). Also dang those were some solid episodes.
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
So is Centipeetle's original form a gem type in and of itself? I keep wondering if everyone's their own gem type or like a sub-type, and Jasper making it clear that she and Amethyst were mass-produced like all other gems made me curious...

I heard it suggested that she's a nephrite, since it's more or less the right colour and "Bismuth" suggested that nephrites piloted ships during the war.
like, did people forgot that the earlier seasons had a bunch of slice of life eps as well, or were they being let down harder after expecting more after the last plot arc?
if thou preferrest the action-adventure eps more, than that's fine, but thou canstn't really say the show 'became' something else or went in a 'different direction' when it always had those elements throughout its run
And most of the animation and general physicality of Steven Universe has always been bad.
nope.avi
In my limited encounters with /co/'s Steven Universe threads, the animation gets a surprising amount of crap.
The best theory I can come up with is that most of that specific breed of Steven Universe hater are the guys who only watched the video for "Stronger Than You", which is, in my opinion, one of the weaker fight scenes without the music behind it. The Ocean Gem fight and the Pearl vs. Amethyst fight are much stronger, imo.

also my other aunt might be interested too which I didn't expect

I mean, the show is still good though.
and yeah last 2 eps rocked
I can't watch it until I get home from work tonight, alas.
Fuck
Also, I hope that Zuke's okay. It seems like she's still active on Tumblr, at least, so that's something.
(Well, "jade" can refer to a couple of different minerals, but one of them is nephrite.)
