here is my man oren doing his thing and casually encapsulating all the joy and melancholy in human existence in a couple of tones and clicks and string samples and tasteful jazz drumming. maybe there is even a piano. whoa
i have listened to 'HD' by atom tm and uwe schmidt is now definitively one of my favourite people. you may know uwe under some of his other psuedonyms, which include Senor Coconut (!!!)

this sounds so Raster-Noton, but it has vox and melodic-ish bits. very nice.
yes. as you would expect from Senor Coconut it is also way more playful than any of this alva noto stuff and the album includes a song called 'Stop (Imperialist Pop)', a cover of 'My Generation' (yes, by The Who), and a song called 'I Love U (Like I Love My Drum Machine)' which sounds like Prince put through a raster-noton filter. mr schmidt is clearly bonkers and i love this album
idk depends what he did with it? king tubby i think you would consider a producer so maybe he produced it if that's what you mean? then again according to some people king tubby invented remixing itself so basically i dont know the song you mean or how king tubby was involved in it
King Tubby is one of several candidates for "the guy who invented remixing as a concept". There's also a disco producer whose name I do not remember offhand.
this is prolly my fave thing that they've put out since ex-military, it's definitely got that fun, immediately engaging factor i felt that they kinda fumbled on The Money Store and to a lesser extent on No Love Deep Web
plus it is really nice to see the guitar samples and weird processed shit show up again as a focus as opposed to the synth textures
Although I disagree on The Money Store, I do agree with the overall sentiment. It does keep NO LOVE DEEP WEB's minimal, bleak vibe and sideways approach, but the renewed focus on treated samples and the warped hook are quite welcome.
