Oh, yeah, if any of you are planning to try and game the Steam Trading Cards thing, I'd suggest that you start now. The supply of cards is going up, which is pushing the prices down.
It occurred to me recently that Kingdom Hearts has some of the best Action-RPG combat out there. It's one of the few JRPGs I've played where the combat is actually fun.
...that said, this new Kingdom Hearts game has a bit of a learning curve. Seriously, a lot of the mechanics used for progression in this game remind me of Problem Sleuth.
More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
I boughted it just now. :D I wonder if I will need a controller to play it? Probably since I can't play Mega Man X or Zero without one. I had one but it kind of stopped working.

I like the gameplay a lot but even considering that the first stage is easy and there are infinite continues, I think I will not be able to play this game very effectively without a controller. :)
I've been playing a lot of Skyrim. More specifically, I've been reading a lot of the in game books. I adore this series's world building, particularly of Morrowind and just the series's general mythology.
Fallout 3 is Skyrim, but smaller and with an actual plot. Fallout New Vegas is Skyrim, but slightly smaller and with an actual plot.
Skyrim's greatest attributes are that it doesn't have a clear-cut plot (which attracts roleplayers and such like moths to a flame) and that it doubles the amount of everything that Bethseda's other open-world games have.
From what I've heard about Oblivion, Skyrim's actually a step down in some cases. The magic system got dumbed down, as well as interactions with other characters.

open world games are plot-thin in general, and Skyrim is plot-thin even for an open world game.
Most open world games make me feel uh, bored, to put it plainly. If I want to wander around aimlessly I'll go hiking and actually get some exercise.

Both of those games were made by Bethesda, though.

Skyrim's combat was a massive improvement over Morrowind and Oblivion. The magic system wasn't so much dumbed down as it was simplified in intuitive ways. Interactions with other characters wasn't really dumbed down either; I'd say I've probably encountered more interesting characters in my first week of playing Skyrim than the entire five years I played Oblivion.

Frankly, I'd prefer a Zelda protagonist game over genderbent Zelda.

Before Skyrim, the most advanced PC game that I had was Fallout 3. It felt like a big step up.
It's every open world game, but there's more of it.
I am not a huge fan of Skyrim.
