Marvel sold the Spider-Man rights to Cannon Films initially, then they wound up with Carolco, then MGM bought them after Carolco went under, then MGM traded them to Sony Pictures in 1999 to get the movie rights to Casino Royale.

The rights to X-Men still stand with 20th Century Fox, as they have since 1994, and they still own the Fantastic Four rights as well, and Ghost Rider is also with Columbia/Sony Pictures.

The rights to The Punisher and Daredevil reverted to Marvel/Disney, I think.

And unfortunately I don't think Disney is interested in letting anyone but themselves have the movie rights to Marvel characters (though Warner Bros. did let DC take the movie rights to RED to Summit Entertainment, but only after every other division of WB gave their approval).
