Nice new (as far as I know) feature: certain tags relating to risky or dangerous behavior redirect to a helpful message instead of taking you right to the posts:

  • I know it's had helpful messages and such for a while but I don't know how new having it as a clickthrough is.

ok i know [bluh bluh tumblr url] is awful but don’t tell them to kill themselves. i told them to die but just. don’t tell them to kill themselves.

    tumblr logic
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
I can understand what they're trying to convey there, but that is the dumbest way to go about it, perhaps ever. It's not so much purely illogical as a backtracking failure.

Like, there's a world of difference between saying rhetorically, "God, this asshole! I hope he gets hit by a fucking bus, what a douchebag!" and telling that person, "You are worthless. You should kill yourself."

Or, to put it in a way that history nerds will appreciate: "Will no-one rid me of this meddlesome priest?!"
  • My dreams exceed my real life

Nice try but no one is an unironic Vanilla Ice fan.

Except Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, possibly.
  • We can do anything if we do it together.
Vanilla Ice needs to be replaced with 2Pac for that to be a proper mockpost.
  • pretty sure 2pac's black though and the point is to make fun of a particular brand of racist who i'm sure actually exists

Those kind of people have usually only heard "Changes" and "California Love" from 2Pac, and assume that all of his songs were like that. As a result, they consider him a black musician that it is acceptable to like. It's similar to how they treat Bob Marley.
  • The interesting thing about Vanilla Ice is how he claims to hate his musical past but still goes by "Vanilla Ice" when he could easily change his name to almost anything else and have it be less mockable, and that he still performs "Ice Ice Baby" (sometimes in a Limp Bizkit style) in concert.

The funny thing is that "Ice Ice Baby" manages to still be his best song, somehow.
  • also Macklemore used to be a very typical "I miss the good ol' days" rapper in the vein of....well, there are a lot of examples, Joey Bada$$ is probably the most well known. Listen to "B-Boy" sometime (the original version, not the one that samples "Axel F" and is actually decent).

He should call himself Tapioca Snow.

For once, or maybe twice, I was in my prime.
If Cracked is to be believed, Vanilla Ice's main source of income these days is real estate. Dude flips houses. While still dressed like he did in the 90s, because apparently "What the heck, the guy who did 'Ice Ice Baby' wants to buy my crappy old house?!" is good for business.

He even has a show on the DIY Network about it...

So, my offline best friend runs an art blog, and generally he only posts drawing, sculptures, paintings and so forth... but cuteness is a very powerful thing.

For whatever reason, Tumblr seems to attract the kind of people who don't realize words have power and that things like "kill yourself" can actually effect people; as if it's just another perfectly normal way to casually express anger.

Paradoxically it attracts those people and also the sort who believe that it is wholly impossible for something to be apolitical.
  • Do you know how to search for patents? Hit google man. I gave the patent numbers.

As for Eugenics, yeah do support it. 100%. People though just assume I support Nazi style eugenics or something. If they ask though and not assume, I would of replied with the idea of weeding out the diseased and weak etc to ensure strong genes are being passed on is a good idea. Even if it means that I myself would have been one of those unlucky people because of my heart issue when I was a baby. Also because eugenics is not studied or researches because “muh evil nazis” its no where near being perfect and people just think of its as mindless killing of “undesirables” like colored people or jews and therefore I MUST support that.

Far as trans issue goes, I do not support coddling a mental illness the way most people today, especially on tumblr do. From those who *feel* like a woman or who mutilate themselves with support of their enablers. Science and biology does not agree with your “sex change” and will not entertain the idea with special pronouns or bathroom “rights” Disagreeing with you does not make it transphobic or phobic anything for that matter with other issues.

And for the record, I make fun of everyone. Trans people are not so special to where I focus solely on them.
Just in case anyone here had any illusions about Logicd not being an idiot.

That or they realize it and think it's justified when "punching up", which apparently includes accusing trans people of transphobia and the disabled of ableism.

    j-is-for-justice:

Wow…so let me get this straight. They’re gonna put random people at the Boston Marathon on the cover Sport Illustrated and it’s not considered offensive to the victims but then they get mad because Jahar is on the cover of Rolling Stone? “Let’s get dolled up and take pictures at the finish line. Maybe we can be on the next cover of Sports Illustrated.” Yet they think it’s insensitive because Jahar is on the cover of RS because he looks like a normal teen. That’s because he is, obviously, and he didn’t ask to be put on there and be judged, labeled and called a criminal

This is just wrong in so many ways….they’re making a show out of the Boston marathon bombings. Sports Illustrated, Hollywood movie, a victory parade, a novel by Jeff Bauman what’s next? Is this a tragedy or entertainment? Do they really want to relive this tragic event over and over again?

    “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
...and this person is not a loony at all. Nosireebob. Just normal, stable human beings over here.

Can't we get this thread back to frolicking kittens and debunking weird optical illusions?
