What is the nature of someone who has not found their passion?
Perhaps there lies the demographic of reality tv. something to waste the time until you figure out what you want to do with your entertainment. The media equivalent of intro classes in college, in a sophmore year that never seems to end
i feel this isn't the case?
i wouldn't say i've found anything i could call my 'passion', but reality TV sure isn't adequate.
ideally i guess i would like my entertainment to make me laugh, properly, out loud, and cry, really cry, so much i can't stop crying if i try, and think, so much i'll still be thinking about it days and weeks and months later
this sensation is quite dissimilar to an orgasm, imo. And vastly preferable, and i know that sounds pretentious but it's true, it's a pleasure that's a lot better and more enduring for me.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
Man is a most complex simple creature: see what he weaves, and how base his reasons for doing so.
Yarrun, I don't even know what "Xingu Len" could possibly be.
I'll explain. Whenever I see a Romanization of a Chinese name, characters appear in my mind as to what that name could be. "Xingu Len" is incomprehensible.
There's no Hanyu of "Xin." It's almost always "Xing." Which of course, makes "Gu" totally useless.
"Len" is also nothing. "Le" is something, it could mean happiness, but again, that adds a "N" sound. And there's no words that are only an "N" sound (there are words that are written as "E", but it's pronounced as "Er", which is confusing).
This is my bane. To see stupid supposed Chinese names and give a shit.
Percy Harrison Fawcett – Pendergast's great-great uncle on his mother’s side. He was an explorer and disappeared in the jungles along the UpperXingu River (hence Pendergast's middle name) in 1925 while looking for the mysterious Lost City of Z.

I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
It says a lot about how big Marvel is that Fox is holding onto the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool for dear life, despite every movie essentially being a commercial for Disney.

TIL the original 1857 chorus of "Jingle Bells" used the Pachelbel's Canon chord progression that we now associate with "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas" instead

i just haven't found, like, a 'genre' that appeals
I mean, we wouldn't have invented the word 'nerdgasm' if that weren't a Thing to certain folks, right?

Say what you will about their behavior beyond it, but at least they have the decency to always get consent.
