I saw this vine once of like an Arab man shouting "Hey!" raising a goat, who shouted "Hey!" and then panning to an entire herd of goats who shouted "Hey!"
And I was going to use that for my report about Vine and globalization but I can't fucking find the thing.

It's the other way around, sort of: Consider the kind of person who buys into the idea that science, free markets and American values can and will save the world.

Jeremy Corbyn has made his MPs targets for home-grown jihadists in the wake of the vote to back Syrian air strikes, a shadow cabinet minister has warned.
...Have I fallen into a bizarro world where this would make anything resembling sense, or does the Telegraph think that Daesh really hates not being bombed?
Because Corbyn allowed Labour to decide whether or not to back the bombing campaign before the formal vote—and thus taking the threat of censure for those who vote with the Tories off the table—means that he will be, ostensibly, provoking Da‘esh, who would rather not be bombed.
So goes the logic. Honestly, I don't personally think Corbyn should have capitulated because the only people who he's endearing himself to with the move are people who hate him anyway and none of this would be targeting the worst actors in Syria: Namely, Assad's military.
A baseline of low political engagement, combined with being generally snarky about things and frequently skeptical of things that appear "mainstream", is easily mischanneled into the notion that "all politicians are fuckers and the system is just thoroughly broken" rather than actually identifying specific problems and their mechanisms.
Once you get to the notion of "the whole system is broken", then it's only one or two steps away from "government is the problem rather than the solution". Of course, this totally neglects that lack of governance can also be a problem, but that's a less intuitive thing to realize.

So the spot on my chin got infected and scabby, and every time I yawned or ate or anything, the scab would burst open and ooze stuff everywhere. I've had to clean it with a disinfectant wipe and put a giant ass plaster over it which covers my entire chin. I now look like a twat.
"Lost River is far better than the reviews led me to believe. You know those scenes in Toy Story where the kid plays with all his favourite toys, making spacemen and cowboys fight dinosaurs and potato heads? It's basically that but the kid is Ryan Gosling and he's making a movie where David Lynch fights Nicolas Winding Refn and Dario Argento. Loved it. I don't know if you'd call it a horror movie, but it was pretty unsettling and cool."
*adds Lost River to his netflix queue as hard as he can*
I have to venture into the kitchen to prepare some food, but I have a giant fucking plaster on my chin. Either I go in and pray that my flatmates don't come in, or I take it off and risk peeling off a scab that may or may not be forming, and have to reapply a plaster later on.
