Sending me a strongly worded letter about how my TV licence ran out two weeks ago is pointless seeing as I haven't lived in that flat for four fucking months.
The more I hear about TV licensing the more it seems like they're trying to scare people into paying for licenses even when they don't need them
i'm pretty sure this is the case.
That or they're super paranoid about people not paying for them.
i know i've brought up before how i think "TV detector vans" are fake; when my mum and dad didn't even have a TV, that didn't stop them from claiming they'd detected one in order to intimidate them into paying.
Honestly i like having the BBC, but the TV license people are just assholes.
There were a few things about EGS that appealed to teen tachyon, circa . . . idk, maybe it was 2005, or 2006?
Transformations were a big thing for me back then, and the treatment of sex/gender as something that could just flip back and forth appealed. It also had a silly sense of humour that was in line with my own at that time, and its clichés were not familiar ones to me back then.
At the time, as well, i thought the later (2004/05) art was really good. Which is relative; it's better than i could draw.

You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
The other kids' networks/animation studios don't have a total that's much higher
The only Cartoon Network series I can think of that had female creators are My Gym Partner's a Monkey (co-creator) and Steven Universe, and Nickelodeon's only female creators I can think of are Arlene Klasky (co-creator of Rugrats, The Wild Thornberrys, and Rocket Power) and Emily Kapnek (As Told By Ginger)
Scratch Arlene Klasky off of Rugrats, all she contributed were the original character designs
She and Gabor Csupo still stuck their names into the "Created By" credit though
were her designs similar to the ones in the finished show?
Klasky and Csupo's designs were the ones in the finished show, but no one credits Ed Benedict with the creation of Huckleberry Hound or Yogi Bear or the Flintstones and the Rubbles.

I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
for me there will be nothing more "sign me the fuck up" than WB finally giving us proper DVD sets of Tex Avery's non-Droopy MGM shorts and the remaining Huckleberry Hound and Quick Draw McGraw episodes
Just watched an episode of Bob's Burgers. Can't say I care for it beyond Louise (whose Mabel voice does not fit her), but I tried. So, onto The Office I suppose.

Kristen Schaal seems to only do the one voice and I love it but it's odd to hear Mabel's voice from a decidedly different character
The humor really wasn't my thing either. I was expecting it to be slow and a bit doofy since it's a sitcom and all that, just not as repetitive or weak as they were.
I primarily put it off due to the art style, which was as displeasing to watch as I had guessed. Was going to say "Now I might as well check out Home Movies" except it's not available to stream on Netflix, so that's that!
@Central: Yeah, Mabel is amazing, except you kinda need Mabel for it to work, and there's only one Mabel Pines, really.
shows i abandoned after probably not giving them a fair shake because i didn't enjoy what i watched of them: Bob's Burgers, Archer, Mission Hill, Panty and Stocking, Aqua Teen Hunger Force
may or may not return to some of these at a later date

I am surprised
it certainly left me confused, for a long time i thought "Looney Tunes" was wrong (looks like it should be pronounced "tyoons")
Even if the ending of The Scar was pretty dumb.

I guess they thought "Tiny Tunes" would be a bit awkward
