i know there's no particular reason why TMNT should be respected on the same level as a traditional folk tale, in principle
but i think there's maybe something a bit jarring about seeing something that was based on a thing you liked and it's changed in a way that feels worse
of course the source material hasn't gone anywhere, it's not a big deal
