They look and sound made up. They're weird like fuckin....pig-elephant things.
Who made this? I demand a refund.
The protagonist to my story-thinger is essentially a bipedal dwarf mountain tapir. It's a long story. But yeah, they're wonderful beasts and I kind of want one.
Also, the one that appears in Hannelore's nightmares in Questionable Content is basically the best and no doubt creepiest thing in that comic, seriously.
Take a look at the picture above, please. Contrary to popular belief, this is NOT an inverted fencer. Rather then that, it is someone called the Tragedian. Formerly a thespian of no fixed abode, currently a city guide, he will soon see himself reproduced as a mannequin, born to entertain — or aggravate — those of you who have decided to go for TRAGEDY AROUND THE BEND or above. Importantly, the wretched little thing is not nearly tall enough to be mistaken for a human being. Better still, he measures just right to look proper gloomy — or likewise uplifting — on your bookshelf, your table, or whatever spot is the nearest whenever you are having your Eiswein with your Heidegger (or vice a versa).
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
Terrifying thought: the only option for higher education in The Republic of Libertaria would be private, for-profit colleges
According to the article, it's not actually "throwing in the towell". Hasbro is merely going to have much less control and shares in The Hub, and is only going to control six hours of television on the channel a day.
Considering how I generally like what I've seen of the Hasbro-run Hub, I think things are going to be alright.
Main change I can foresee is a greater chance of Dan VS getting revived.
But, in my opinion, "The Hub" is a much catchier name than, "Discovery Family". More distinctive and shorter.
Quote: Random tor.com commentator: a lot of the people who were responsible for the '90s animation renaissance cut their teeth working for Filmation and Hanna-Barbera. The '90s shows wouldn't have been what they were if they hadn't been able to stand on the shoulders of their predecessors. Bruce Timm and Paul Dini both started out working on Filmation shows, notably He-Man.

People keep forgetting that H-B played a big role in the '90s animation renaissance (e.g. 2 Stupid Dogs, where Genndy Tartakovsky and Craig McCracken got their start, and the What A Cartoon! initiative from which several of our '90s favorites sprang)

Mainly because I don't think tabletop games were the best format for that universe. Maybe a comic or a videogame would have worked better.
