You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
I woke up at 7 this morning thinking it was Monday and I'd have to amble across town for a 9 AM physics lecture

It's especially weird when you remember that Cracked started as a knockoff of Mad magazine
I'm not saying it's the case for that one (and far be it from me to even suggest such) but a lot of those gonzo journalism articles have struck me as....made up, to be completely blunt?
(psych! I was not only too late to remember the stuff that the people in that thread are talking about, I was too late to remember the era in which that thread took place! Double Missed-out-on Era!).
Man, it looks so much neater without avatars, signatures, that stupid vanilla margins that make two-thirds of the page empty space, and all that.

It's amusing to see people being nostalgic about the internet in 2003, somehow
TVT thread on gamerghazi is somehow worse than IJBM's
well considering that the IJBM thread basically derailed into a discussion about marxism and capitalism at this point...well, I'm not even sure what plane it's on now. there's a reason i have barely commented in it in the last few pages, and that's because i don't even get most of what's going on anymore.
well i'm looking through the Video Game Journalism thread, and the first few pages are from May, so they're not relevant, but there are like 35 of them
so the last few pages...well I can't really make heads or tails of them
well i don't know about you but when i look at it all i see are political issue discussion threads and general sociological and/or technical topic threads
most of which are megathreads anyway, which means barring a VERY intense interest in AND familiarity with the subject, i'm not going to wade into them...and even then, I ain't reading 8000 posts worth of whatever on it
also the gamergate/gamerghazi/whateveryouwannacallit thing isn't even there
A lot of the really bad posters in TvTropes were boring, or didn't have the best command of the english language, so I ended up skipping over their posts and didn't know how bad they were for a while.

OTC, despite improving significantly, is still the sinkhole of all the pretentious cretins and insufferable one-note wonks on the entire TVT forum. It's a long gaze into a small pit.

probably a good thing i'm too lazy to read megathreads lol

Like Signed, or Secretist, or Major Tom.
Honestly, the latter two were just obnoxious and nigh-devoid of good opinions, but Signed was a flat-out creeper.

Assassin poems, Poems that shoot

and take their weapons leaving them dead
Just type the lyrics to "Boss-Ass Bitch" several times in a row.

dug up a thread from 2011: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13141456410A73200600&page=1
also, it's not even offensive
i ended up dumping a little write-up about my theoretical framework about "tinkering" vs. "experiencing" games because it was relevant to the thread
despite it not having been posted in since 2011
lol
i'll let you know if it gets zapped or i get banned lol
